Fuel is pretty pricey so make sure you fill up at the beginning to get you off to a good start.

What a treat! We will drop you at your accommodation in this wonderful city around 6.00pm on Thursday afternoon. The water was a tid bit nipply. Be prepared for it to get seriously busy but it’s worth it! Pick a site near the river.

Grab a map from the tourist information centre to make sure you don’t get lost as phone reception is sketchy.

We arrive early enough to enjoy a stroll around this beautiful township before enjoying dinner (at your expense) at the many local restaurants, café’s or pubs.

Enjoy new experiences and meet new friends!

Also, look for the Great Ocean Road wifi along your journey.

This morning we pop back out to the 12 Apostles and take in the view during the morning sunlight and/or take a helicopter flight (at own expense) over this amazing coastline. This steep walk will certainly wake you up and is totally worth it. Grab your photo and also look behind it at the insane houses that have been built on the cliffs there. Day 4: Make the 12 Apostles the finale to your visit to the Port Campbell national park. The Highlander restaurant also has a fully licensed bar where you can sit and have a quiet glass of wine before dinner.

Total driving Time: 4.5 hrs. I guess that would make sense as there are probably many ocean roads in the world.

The main stops along this stretch are Childers Cove, Bay of Islands, Loch Ard Gorge and the famous Twelve Apostles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_UZoJi7s3g&t=2s, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05RCKBakcjU, The BEST Sydney 3 Day Itinerary for first timers, Ultimate Adelaide to Melbourne Drive via the Great Ocean Road, DIY Campervan Sofa Bed- The BEST small Campervan bed design, How to do a DIY Honda CRV camper conversion, 8 fantastic day trips from Sydney you can take using public transport, 20 Budget Campervan Packing List Essentials under $20, Privacy policy, terms, disclaimer and disclosure. 4 DAYS - 3 NIGHTS DAY 1 Melbourne to Great Ocean Road Depart: Melbourne O/night: Anglesea Distance: 114 kilometres.
Make the Port Camberwell national park your end destination. Meander your way back to Melbourne, sidetracking from the highway to explore and relax in spa country at Daylesford and Hepburn Springs. Motor north through farmland to Halls Gap and settle in to splendid bush retreat accommodation at D’Alton’s Resort. Stroll along and soak in the last of the Great Ocean Road, or even have a surfing lesson before driving into Melbourne.

If the tide is out then head down to the beach to get a different perspective. It’s not just about viewing the top sites but also about having some lazy time at the most beautiful beaches in Australia.

| Awwww. Total driving time: 15 minutes, Port Campbell to the Arch – This wasn’t exactly on our itinerary, but we came across it and decided to stop.
