There are no tables, so you really just have to grab and go (aka, eat this while standing in front of the pastry shop while contemplating getting a second helping). Chef Kotaro Noda’s dishes are masterpieces, with color playing an important role throughout the meal from the amuse-bouche to the desserts, named for their bright hues. If that isn’t your thing, this pastry shop has many other delicious pastries to try. The wine list is spectacular; all of the wines are sourced from around Italy with a bottle for every price range. Order the tasting menu to enjoy all the fabulous flavors in dishes such as risotto with mandarin and burnt onion and a carrot fritter with a homemade ketchup. The Amaretto & Marsala flavour was definitely my favourite! Can you ever have too much? Tazza D’Oro: Via degli Orfani, 84 I also saw how they make this pizza, as the oven is essentially out in the open. This tiny little bakery cranks out a few pies/cakes, but they are most famous for their crostate, especially their ricotta crostata filled with either chocolate and ricotta cheese, or cherry and ricotta cheese. The result is a high-quality pizza. Head straight to Fatamorgana, an artisanal gelateria with locations throughout Rome, including Monti and near Campo de’ Fiori. The menu changes seasonally but look out for pici with broccoli rabe and bread crumbs and fettuccine with sausage, mint pesto and pecorino.

They are also famous for their Ravioli Mimosa which won apparently 2 awards (even “food God” ate this dish), but honestly, this truffle pasta was better in my opinion, and should not be missed! *Caffee’ Crema/ Crema al caffee’ (cremosito):

A lot of people follow me on YouTube and Instagram likely for my love of this great city, and so with that being said, many people often ask me for restaurant recommendations and what to eat in Rome. I clearly am pasta obsessed because I chose this spot for the main reason of eating one of the best pasta dishes I have ever eaten in my entire life, and that is their black truffle (tartufo) pasta – Tagliolini con Tartufo Nero! Through entertaining storytelling, you’ll learn about the people behind each wine while enjoying a taste of artisanal cheeses, cured meats and traditional Roman pastas.
