The rose will soon develop and grow once planted. Being in zone 4, I went to own root roses for the last 20 or so years (out of *way* more years than that). Here in my zone 6 garden existing roses have leafed out and have buds on the day (May 6) when I finally receive finally my David Austin Roses. I have looked at your orders and see that the roses on one of your orders were not included in the offer code you used, so unfortunately did not qualify for a free rose. I called  customer service...nothing they can do, woman was extremely combative, was not trying at all the keep a customer. I am totally disappointed and disgusted.

We settled on Munstead Wood, Our Lady Of Shalott and Queen of Sweden. Very disappointed I ordered David Austin roses from the Texas company and they do not stand behind what they sell, I have sent a picture that clearly showed it didn't do well and something was wrong with the rose, but all they said was they would give me 30% really and then she said I would have a5 year warranty I just wanted them to replace what obviously was a bad rose, this is the second time that they have not taken care of a rose problem the first rose came with bugs I let them know right away no replacement and it died, I do not recommend buying from this company, makes me wonder if the company in the UK knows how their roses are being sent to customers! Nevertheless, all our 23 David Austin roses are growing superbly in Zone 5 for the two years since we purchased most of them. The main parent company should keep a closer eye on the Tyler "American" David Austin company to maintain their quality standard. Before that, the Austins I bought were usually z5, but as long as I mulched well or buried them for winter, they almost always did fine. I ordered root stock for two rose plants from David Austin Roses when I lived in CT, and they arrived exactly when I was able to plant them, and turned into the most gorgeous rose plants I have ever had! I do take this matter seriously.

Had a garden make over in 2004, gardener plant 1 david austin rose, till to day 9/7/2020 I have not seen any ROSE budding. I first discovered them at Kew Gardens, and thought if they're good enough for them, they're good enough for me! We live in the high desert of New Mexico and we can get pretty hot. Varieties with larger flowers such as Jubilee Celebration often nod gracefully on arching stems, especially when young, but we can recommend varieties with a more upright habit for customers who prefer this look in their garden.

I msged them on FB, no response. I am an avid gardner and I do know how to take care of my roses btw. So far I've been impressed w/ David Austin's Tyler, Texas store, both in terms of the quality of the plant and the service. I cant help you and my supervisor will never call you back) I will never again order from a company who feels it is ok to take your money and not provide what you bought. I placed an order for my mother's birthday gift as she loves roses and I thought it would be wonderful for her to have some heirloom roses as a surprise. I see that on this side of the pond they're distributed out of Texas. Never will I buy from them again. The Iceberg may not by a David Austin hybrid, but still it is a quality rose and survived the sizzling heat of summer here so that says something.
