The tiny coastal village of Iluka is a tranquil hideaway surrounded by the magnificent Clarence River, vast, unspoilt beaches and the world heritage listed Yuraygir National Park. We would have loved this caravan park if any one had been helpful or friendly at the office even with the filthy toilets and ramshackle layout to the park. Campers shoved in any which direction lined up back from the cliff for powered sites 3 or 4 rows deep.

Perfect location for our family get together. Nearby attractions include Brooms Head Lookout (4.3 km). Highly recommended. The beaches are perfect for surfers, fishermen and families and the views from the headland are truly breathtaking.
The unpowered sites are right on the beach but even so our site was a minute’s walk from the beach. Really great place to fish, beach walk, rock climb and chill out in sun.

Small play area for children. New arrivals for one night got closest to the beach, although we stayed almost a week - during which bathrooms never cleaned!

Yes, it is 0.5 km away from the centre of Brooms Head. Very quite. We also were able to explore the nearby beautiful Yuraygir National Park with the fabulous red cliffs. Large powered site with an ocean view for $29.

Brooms Head really is a hidden treasure – its a beach hideaway that’s as perfect as anything you could imagine. Brooms Head. Well worth another visit! A beautiful, quiet location with a general store for your supplies, and plenty of room to wander the foreshore beach without being crowded out by others. General store nearby and Bowls Club with restaurant easy walk away. We used the nice clean bbq facilities on a couple of occasions as well and each day we would go for long walks along the beach or up over the headland towards Sandon. Although busy there were plenty of sites to choose from although we were not allowed to- just crammed in next to the road and many overflowing campsites. It’s one of those places... you see the signs on the highway and wonder... Wonderful cycle tracks through the adjacent National Parks. We hope to see you again soon. We went to Brooms Head for a few days escape. Facilities are a bit aged, but are efficient and clean.
