Found the following statement about the vertical card design. Looks like Commbank updated their World Debit card webpage. With ING at least it's clear that ING will refund any fees incurred if you withdraw money from any ATM. It's black with the CBA, Mastercard logos and 'world debit' writing in silver. The added bonus of no international ATM and Transaction fee's was good too. This is probably the nicest card that CBA has ever designed! The wait is over, received mine today. I just checked mine but there is nothing new showing up under cards yet. Hope they haven't withdrawn the offer. I recently reviewed the UBank Debit card, which I may now ditch. It also has an obscene $120/year annual fee.

Have you considered the NAB Platinum Debit? As far as I'm aware the metal version (which was going to have a higher monthly fee) was scrapped. Importantly, this card gives you access to your own money. Not sure why I was chosen, I'm assuming it's to do with the number of transactions I put through each month.

Why would you ever sign up to this card when you have up.com.au (No fees), Up do charge fee’s. The design was alright, it really no need to be too complex. Although CBA won't charge any fees I don't think this card would replace my ING as they reimburse you for third party operators as well.
